Courtney Medlen is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She graduated with her doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2014 (which has been consistently ranked in the top 5 schools in the country for physical therapy). She was then accepted to USC’s Orthopedic Residency program which consisted of working with sports medicine physicians and receiving mentorship from top-tier clinicians in the field of orthopedics to further advance her skills to elite level orthopedic care. After completing the residency program in 2015, Courtney decided it was time to return to the South (originally from Alabama) and chose to make her home Nashville, TN!

Since graduating from USC’s residency program, Courtney has worked in a variety of orthopedic settings and has treated just about any injury/surgery you can think of! She has completed over 300 hours of continuing education courses on various topics such as sports related injuries, ACL rehab, knee and shoulder pain evaluation and treatment, chronic pain management, joint manipulation therapy, neck pain and headache management, assessment of running mechanics, and many more.

Courtney is an avid sports fan (Roll Tide and Go Trojans!) and considers herself a lifelong athlete. In high school she played basketball, tennis, and golf competitively. Currently, she continues to play golf, runs half marathons, trains in Jiu Jitsu, has tried her hand at pickleball, and still enjoys beating people in HORSE. She also enjoys working out in the gym, hiking, snow skiing, biking, and scuba diving! When she’s not working on the business or doing the things above, you can find Courtney traveling the world (always open for travel suggestions), finding new restaurants to try around Nashville, or entertaining her Goldendoodle, Nala.
